in place is rounded. i can probably get a suitable replacement at the local
hardware store (they have a decent metric fastener section), _if_ i can get
it out. i can't get my needle nose vise grips to grab onto it firmly
enough; there's just enough room, but they're slipping off.
I had a similar problem removing the allen head bolts that fasten the intake runners to the head.

I used a die grinder to cut a small notch in the head of the bolt. Using a small cold chisel at an angle and a small hammer, I was able to bump it loose. Once loose the right sized flat screwdriver easily spun it out.
