Hello Wal,
    Thanks for the feedback on your conversion.  A lot of people with
the 3.5 litre are happy with the added power and reliability, the next
move was a 3.5 in the production Stag, but it was dropped in 1977 in
favor of developing the TR7.
    There were approximately 300 Stags imported to the US market.
Attrition through accidents, engine failure, and rust, have all made
their toll.  I actually doubt that there are 500 running, more like 200+
actually running in the USA.  The other 300 are most likely stashed away
in barns, sheds, back lots.  Also, there are a group of Brits searching
out Stags in the US for export to the UK as parts cars, more attrition.
