Hi Richard.

Sorry, with headlamps it is actually possible to have the reflectors
re-silvered, but this for sealed beam units will certainly cost more than
new units, so it's bite the bullet time I'm afraid.

The grille badge should be Araldite'd in, that is the 'factory' spec.
However, some use plastic body filler, this can give good adhesion but has
no strength.

the grille job sounds messy. Start of by seein if you cna polish out the
scratch marks on the leading edges and restore the shine, if so then carry
on with renovation. Strip off existing paint completely then use an
acid-etch primer on the aluminium. Then use a matt black paint compatible
with the primer (I don't think gloss will look too good, also it is not
'original' if you are concerned with that. The paints mentioned are
professional paints available from the auto paint specialists listed in
yellow pages. These suppliers include AE Motor Colours, Brown Brothers,
ICI Autocolour.

The best finish will be obtained by spraying, if you have access to
equipment (or some other mug). Due to the delicacy off the edge, smear
them with grease immediately before applying the black coats.
