[ihc] Breakdowns, change of life, and decals

Now, as far as breaking things goes, does Tom take after you? Or do
you
take after him? Either way, he seems to be more adept (although he

seems extremely good at *fixing* stuff too!).
As you know, Ryan, I went through a recent spell of Scout breaking. At
least at this time, it bothers me a lot more than it does Tom. Nothing
much in the way of breaking things used to intimidate me and I had a
lot less to work with then.
But, alas, with age comes a dread of things going wrong mechanically in
some God-forsaken place. Maybe Tom will never be old enough to feel
that way about his adventures.
Changing your rocker arms along side the road in the middle of a trip,
not only makes you late for where you are going, but takes some self
confidence. As his pseudo parent, I wouldn't want him any other way.
As for me, it's a darn good thing that I have such good buddies. Funny
thing about Del, the Land Use guy with whom I often travel, he has few
mechanical skills, but he brings along a lot of friends who do have
those skills, like the BFG racing support team.
Got my Binder Bulletin decals today and they look really good. Also
found a couple of new IH digest decals a day or two ago, so I can
spruce up the Terra before it goes visiting again. Spruce up my Terra,
quit laughing.
I wonder what the minimum order would have to be for the fellow who is
doing the BB decals to do a new one for the digest? BB is offering a
lot of choices, but we could probably narrow a digest one down to one
or two choices. Maybe a long decal for the inside of the windshield
that read www.ihcdigest.com. We probably couldn't put an IH logo at the
front and end because of copyright problems, but that would be spiffy.
Could we sell a hundred at $ 10 ? Would it piss Bill off, if we did
it? I guess I better ask him. Could I afford to put up a $1000 front
money to guarantee Jeff enough buyers? No.
Hmm, think about it.
