Re: Mac's Starter (kinda long)



I've found a local shop that is reasonable, quick, and knowledgeable. They
do it right the first time, and they appreciate it when people ask them to
use their best judgement. So far I have had an alternator for my daughter's
Mercedes rebuilt for 50 bucks when it was over 200 at Napa, and two IH
starters done for about 45 each. They even recognized that it was the IH
version of a GM starter. Next I will start with the alternators I have
laying around.

This is like a breath of fresh air compared to the shop I have been using.
That guy keeps trying to talk me out of my cores. Not my idea of a smart
move when I need several spares to cover the fleet.
