AFBs and Holleys

Joe,

Dad's bone stock (blueprinted) '63 Vette /327/3spd came off the line
with an AFB. Albeit different from the ones more common today, but AFB, says so
on the side. So THAT AFB is only newer than 2 years of Scout. It's been around
for a while.

So as it looks, I'll give the old AFB away to the guy that gave me the
Holley, and throw the rblt Holley on, and see what gives. Now, about jetting.
I really don't want to have to screw around with that stuff. What is/are the
techniques for jetting these with a 392, and maybe someone already has some
numbers? Based on mileage and throttle response? I hope to go manual choke
instead of electric, or others. Too many things missing from the truck.

        Thanks all,

        -Joel

me too, I think AFB's are newer than scouts anyways. could be wrong, I
only have minor (ie, i want my truck/cars to move) intrest in gas
engines, most of my mechanical thoughts involve diesels
