Re[2]: Scout vs. Mog.

     Tom,

The noticable problem with the Traveler, is the rear gate. The
split gate would be an option, for $700 done right! The 118" WB and
narrow stance is nice, but my T'all is only 120". The Sub was 127" WB
but had an approach much like a scout, and since the tail was higher
than the front by about 5 inches, I never really dragged the rear end.
Look on my web page at the left front in the air, and right rear
coming down. It looks funny, but I still have plenty of room. The
Traveler has one significant drawback though. With it's narrower
stance, after a lift kit, it is MORE prone to roll-over from the added
wheelbase. My T'all is wider, and has the overhang though, but I love
it. Drag the back, so what? At least the tank is in the fender!

        The debate continues...

I don't think that Travelers EVER go on the runs from our club.
Maybe a few, but all scouts, 'cept for my 75 T'all.
