re: rear driveshaft/axle leak

Pinion seal is leaking.  The drive shaft comes out of the transfer case and is coupled to the pinion shaft yoke via a u joint.  I think you can replace it without taking the whole diff out.  With the drive shaft out of way, you can try to spin the pinion shaft nut off then pull the yoke off.  These get stuck on pretty good, you may need a puller of some kind to get it.  Pry the old seal out and drive in a new one.  Reverse dismantling procedure and refill with fluid.  It is suppose to take 90W.  I can never find any, I use 80-90W with no problems.
