Mike,

When installing a muffler you wan't as little resistance to flow as is 
possible.  Unless you are playing funky shock wave games like a 2 cycle 
motorcycle.

Straight through glass pack is the lowest resistance of all, period.  The 
turbos are mainly to sound nice at idle and to limit sound at high load.  
They are more free-flowing than stock mufflers, but there's no way they 
flow as freely as a straight through simple glasspack.  they're more 
expensive to build so... more expensive to buy.  Plus many of them are 
made from stainless steel.  Stainless should be a consideration if you have 
catalysts.
