E28 vs. E34

I'd appreciate some in-put from the group regarding the two subject cars.
I've owned 3 E28 cars(528i, 533i, current 535i), and am currently looking
for a car for my son.  I have a line on what appears to be a nice '85 535i
- - hi, Rob(:^) - but it's quite a distance away.  I just drove a local '89
535i, nice car, but I don't have any experience with the E34.  Seems
smaller inside, but is comfortable, and has a lot of bells and whistles my
'85 doesn't have.  Any problems inherent with the newer model?  Also, it
has Hartge 15" rims, center caps missing on 3 of 4.  I'm curious: anyone
know what cost on those might be?  Thanks for any help.
