I hope this isn't too stupid of a question.  I
recently picked up a '79 635csi(euro) with all the
possible options and am in the process of doing a
complete restoration.  Anyway, I had the hood up while
with the egine running for about 15 minutes and
noticed the exhaust manifold was glowing.  Is this
normal? Any info would greatly be appreciated.  By the
way, this was at night.
