BMW 89 325i Car Stereo Stange Problem

Hi All,
     I have this strange problem with my car stereo on '89 325i. When I play a
cassette and eject it, the radio sound doesn't come out. Sometimes turning off
and on will bring back the radio but other times it doesn't. However, when I
just play the radio, after starting the car, radio works fine.
     Is there a simple solution to fix this radio. I don't wish to purchase a
new radio but would like to get rid of this annoyance.
