It would be nice to know which wire (color) it was that had a break in it,
though in this case it doesn't make a difference assuming it is a USA Spec
car. Splice the wire, solder it don't use a crimp connectior and you should
be ok. If it is a Spanish or Italian Spec car it could be a resistor and you
are on your own.
