My 1989 325i clock has been gonging and displaying 38. I am quite sure this
is the computer warning me in some sort of metric measure the time left until
it will fail in the year 2000. I've heard that the Y2K fix resets the
computer using a very expensive reset tool similar to the service light reset
tool.
