Battery

Roger,
Us a voltage meter and check your battery, if it is O.K. and the fluid 
levels are O.K. then the battery should be good for a while.  If you feel 
safer changing the battery, call around and ask for a Douglas battery. 
 Douglas is the company that makes batteries for BMW.  It is important to 
get OEM since the battery is trunk mounted and has a vent on it.  The 
Douglas battery sold not through BMW is about $75.  Hope this helps.
