<all> follow up on movin' cars, Bubba FATT

Hey everyone,

Thanks for all your replies (10) about moving these two prospective
car purchases.

Since I originally posted on this a few days ago, I went to FATT at
Summit Point with some of our fellow digesters and Bubbas: I'm still
smilin'! Ditto Duane's summary on the fun we had at the event.

I had a great instructor for the first three sessions who reveled in
letting me set myself up for trouble: like letting me follow the
all-wheel drive Carrera into turn one and watching me fight a spin
after coming in too hot.

Aaannyway....

Several folks recommended some combination of the rental truck and
dolly combo, most notably suggesting that I rent a larger truck, move
one car in the truck, towing the other on the dolly. This is also a
good option also, as Dale Buening pointed out, because typically,
larger trucks don't go for much more than small ones.

A couple folks suggested that I cut the parts car up and put it into
the smaller truck that way. The parts car is rust-free too. It'd
break my heart to have to cut this car up. That's a fall back
position, I'm thinkin'.

Brett Anderson suggested I move to Arizona, while albeit compelling
for several reasons, just isn't feasible right now.

Bubba Michel has offered some additional info on transporters, and I'm
continuing to look into several of those folks with car transport ads
in Hemmings. Many sound like mom and pop outfits, it'll be
interesting to find out the cost difference between the big folks and
these guys.

Further bulletins as events warrant....

Thanks again to everyone for all their help.
