I've nearly got my new (to me) Verde ready for the road after a very
long weekend of work. My old Verde is mostly stripped, and the carcass
will soon be ready to hual away. I've now got a basement full of
spares and engines waiting to be rebuilt. My friend, and fellow
digester Ethan put in some major hours helping me out. I sent him home
with some well-deserved goodies for his effort.
For the most part it went rather smoothly, albeit slowly. The only
real excitement was the engine nearly falling off the hoist. I
misplaced one of the carabiners I usually use attach the chain to the
lifting eyes. I substitued a Master lock, thinking it would be more
than strong enough... it wasn't and it snapped. Fortunately, the
engine didn't hit the ground (or one of us) as the other lifting eye
took all the weight. I won't be pulling that stupid trick again.
Lot's of pictures and stuff here:

Left todo: Finish wiring, re-install cooling system, install rear
shocks, and change gearbox lube. Should be on the road sometime tomorrow.
