the "alfa digest" is available in two forms, individual messages and digest
format. the actual content is supposed to be identical, only the delivery
method varies.

the submission addresses, alfa@domain.elided and alfa-digest@domain.elided, are
functionally equivalent. messages sent to either address reach both the
digest and individual format lists. you could see either one in the To:
line of a message.
