another question relating to limited prep SCCA production

being alfettas, the cars have 2 (count 'em, 2) flywheels and a seemingly
more massive driveshaft. anyone know the weight of an Alfetta driveshaft
with respect to the weight of a driveshaft of a conventional front
engine/rear drive car?

i can run lightened/alternate flywheels in Production, but it's unclear if
there are any solutions short of lightening the stock ones for an Alfetta,
and how much i can reduce the mass by lightening these pieces.

these are factors that might affect how much compression i can get the comp
board to let us have for the listing. ("but i've got more driveline to spin
up than those 2002 guys, all i want is a couple of horsepower"). i got some
additional information off list that suggests the following:

it's looking like i'd like to try for 10.5:1 in the rule book. this would
correspond roughly to the 10:1 pistons with 0.020 removed from the head.

i'll also want to investigate what pistons can be obtained from Paul
Spruell that are 0.040 over, as oversized pistons up to that size are
permitted as well.
