have daily driven 71 spider since i got it in 75, including 10 years of
Ottawa (Canadian heavy road salt) winter driving!. In 75 changed the 2 liter
for a 1750 engine, euro cams with webers, a much more nervous engine that
really begs for throttle. During 1986-1988 period, replaced about 60 square
feet of sheet metal, rebuilt engine, suspension bits etc. Since 1988 it has
been put away for Nov-March. Since then periodic maintenance, coil springs a
few years ago, water pump, this year have ordered seat upholstry from
Caribou (still waiting). It just keeps on ticking.
