Need advice on changing Tranny mounts.

I'm having the classic "clunk" heard from the rear when backing up or going
over hard bumps. Assume it's the tranny mounts and was wondering if a
half-assed but well-motivated shade tree mechanic should attempt this
repair. Just have a garage and jack and decent tools.
Waddya say, should I do it?
