Alfa's return to the USA

well, guys,

jeez, i guess the 146/147/156's are one *hell* of a lot nicer drivers' cars than the 164 is! ;~) and, hyperbole aside, i stand firm on my camry comments (at least as it relates to the '88 & '95 models.) comparing them to a 164 is yust arguing about differing degrees of numbness. sure, mebbe the 164 is a nice luxury sedan. who cares? i sure don't... and, if i *did* wanna spend the big bucks on a luxury car, it wood certainly be one w/rwd...

all i can say, is we'll see what happens in 2007. hopefully, y'all are right, and the alfas won't get dumbed-down any further. but, if fiat needs gm's money in order to make the move to the usa, i wouldn't count on it. and, as it stands now, unless gm does a major corporate paradigm shift (ie: become a half-decent world citizen), i woodn't buy a new alfa sedan, even if it were the 2nd coming of the milano, if gm owned the company. (which is why saab & the corvette don't even show up on my radar as possible purchases, sorry michael.)

   Hi all

All I can say to you sir, is that you desperately need to drive the new Alfa 146 1.6 Twin Spark. It is 100% Alfa Romeo in so many respects that it is actually scary how familar the whole experience is compared to the older Alfas. It is a long time since I have just so much fun driving again. The cars you compare the new Alfas to pale by comaprison.
