Joe's warning reminds me of the way mud racers use the stuff (silicone
tire sprays). They actually spray it on the tread of the tire (actually,
they try to get it between the tread blocks), as well as on the sides to
keep mud from sticking to the tire. This allows a fresh dig with each
rotation of the tire.
