On the GTV6, you can remove the right manifold without taking off the CAT
exhaust pipe. Just unscrew the nuts and you can wiggle it out. Make sure
you disconnect the battery to avoid possible shorts. I did have one
occasion when I snapped the stud but it may have been due to the use of a
steel rather than a brass nut. I could not find a replacement and ended
up buying a 2 foot threaded rod and cut off what I needed. I use
anti-seize and brass nuts now and have not had any problems with the nut
freezing to the stud.
