I have the pleasure of accompanying my UK born father to England and
parts thereabout from September 16-26. It's his 50th anniversary of
emmigrating to the USA. No doubt the stories will be good... We'll be
heading to a wedding on the 18th, I believe, and then just a couple of
bachelors for a week. (I'm shopping, he's tied down) Main destination
will be Market Harborough, where he grew up.
A couple questions...
1) Any Alfa stuff that is a must see?
2) Does anyone have knowledge of a Reginald Twighnam of Hazel Bech? He
was a friend of my father's and my father has an old picture of what I
now think was a GTV or similar in his garage. License on the car was
"U JU 1" and another he owned was "U JU 2" He was a car dealer/agency
owner years ago. We'd love to track him down if he's still around, or
find out what we can.
3) Is driving a Vauxhall Nova complete social death, especially on the
left side of the road? :o)
Any pointers on driving the other way round and such are appreciated.
