Dana, try 'Aircraft Stripper'.  It's available as a spray on or brush on
(works better I've heard). 

I picked up a spray can of it for trial on the glue & remaining stuff in the
interior of my project Alfetta.  I sprayed a small amount on the floor board
and it immediately started bubbling away.  It would be handy to have a good
scraper and disposable bucket on hand.  Also, make sure you're working in a
_well ventilated_ area!!
