164 overheating problems

I had a similar problem with my GTV-6. I changed the thermostat (no help),
the water pump (no help), removed the radiator and flushed it with Lime
Away (removed some good-sized hunks of placque, but no help), added Water
Wetter (no help). Finally, it seemed that there were only two more
possible things to try before giving up and deciding SOTJDT (Some Of Them
Just Do That): 1. Have the radiator recored (not yet, but still a
possibility); and B. try one of Tom Zat's adjustable fan switches. I chose
B, and it solved the problem (until the fans themselves go ka-blooey
someday). Installation was simple and the cost was negligible compared to
the cost of parts and time already expended.

By the way, does anyone know what material the coolant tank and washer
tanks are made from? Is that stuff polyethylene, or what?
