CA Smog and a Milano

I'm looking at buying a Verde but I'm not really sure about what I might be
able to get by the smog cops with. The car I'm looking at currently has
about 50K miles on the engine with Sperry heads and autodelta cams, a stock
ECU, Shankle headers and no cat. Assuming I add dual high-flow cats (any
suggestions here?) is there any chance it will smog in CA? Being a non-CA
car originally it will only have to meet 49-state rules (with an added fee
of $300, I believe) but I still don't know if there's a chance....
I've heard of people getting similar cars smogged...anybody out there ever
tried it?
