Re: job offer and general question re: parts

I think that the best way to improve a dealer's Alfa parts business would
be to increase their web presence. There are several things I would really
like to see on an Alfa parts supplier's site:

1. PRICES
2. The ability to look up parts by their factory part #.
3. On line ordering and availability info.
4. Aftermarket alternatives for products with significant price differences.
5. Scans of those nice exploded view pictures from their parts books.
6. Good layout (anyone else think Ricambi's new site is awkward?).

Basically it boils down to being able to get parts quickly, easily, and for
a reasonable price. Let's face it, there are not all that many alfas out
there so if a parts supplier wants to grow they better shoot for the
biggest market. Ie. nationally vs. locally. I have more ideas about how to
do this, but the digest is not really the place for it, respond privately
if interested.
