Richard's point is precisely correct.  In fact, the town in which I live
also has the "not more than 1 unregistered car stored outside" law, which I
have been in violation of for quite some time.  By next-door neighbor is a
police officer, so I'm quite sure he's aware of my violation.  Up until now,
neither he or any of my other neighbors have seen fit to "turn me in", which
is likely the only reason the town police would consider taking any action.


Today's lesson:  Be a good neighbor!  :)

zoning laws of this ilk are not uncommon in the northeast. where i am
(the town of sand lake, a rural area which is suburbanizing a little bit
east of albany), the rule has been no more than one unregistered car
outside for as long as i can remember.

whether it gets enforced or not depends entirely on how well you
get along with your neighbors.
