I even had my torque converter rebuilt to try and address the problem, no
cigar.
Mine used to leak after a few days where the dipstick tube joins the case,
until sealed it with silicon gasket maker. Now it only leaks after sitting
several months. I suspect internal case porosity as it's hard to imagine
that they all do this, as this series was also used by Ford and others.
More likely to my mind is that the fix is just expensive, but it would be
nice to know what it is.
