Jackshaft

Thanks for all the info on the water pump problem.

Things have now progressed.
Tonight I removed the jackshaft only to find that the gear which drives
the water pump is also destroyed. The jackshaft is only 7 months old.
Does anyone have any idea why this would happen and is there any
precautions I should be taking before rebuilding the engine.
