distributor base plate

I had Lumenition fitted last weekend, to improve the running of
that first couple of cold miles.
While doing this a new upper base plate was fitted. This needed
a (time consuming) rub down with very fine sand paper to make it fit
onto the lower base plate so as to along them to rotate as required.
The screw mentioned the other week came with the plate, which I
purchase from Rimmer Bros. £18.50 approx, inc. postage (£2.30!!)
"Cupid" now starts better and doesn't have a such noisy distributor.

I've started using UNLEADED fuel now. My first fill-up mixed with the
leaded which was already in the tank. I'll probably need to retard the
timing a bit.

I looked out my Stag Price List. Dated 3 May 1971 (Home Market).
The colour choices were:
DAMSON, LAUREL, VALENCIA BLUE, WHITE, SIGNAL RED, SLATE GREY,
WEDGEWOOD, SIENNA, SAPPHIRE BLUE, SAFFRON

Stag with s/top only 2273.96 Sterling.
Stag with hard top 2326.18
Both tops 2384.93
overdrive option 71.80
auto box 104.45

Cheers,
David
