One of the things I learned while I was in Florida was that they don't have "nice long hills". I was astounded on a trip from the East coast to the West coast to see a sign that said, "Summit, 3 feet".

The ridge section of Florida is nothing like the more mountainous states, but there are hills.

IIRC the highest point in Florida is approx 300 ft above sea level.

As you travel down I-75 south towards Wildwood, and Dade City, there are hills. And contrary to the Zephyrhills water ad, there are hills around
Zephyrhills, FL.

But as Hofs noticed, we do have more sea level than most states.

I guess Florida needs to export some of its sea level to the states containing the higher altitude roadways, to increase those states' engine efficiency. Maybe do a little altitude swapage

That way, since they quit building shell mounds down here, when the sea levels rise, it will give some of us Florida Folk some place to go to get out of the water. <g>
