RE: [ihc] D series spare tire cover

Bitchen is right.  I love the factory Reese hitches.  I have on off a
'73 1010 Travelall on my '74 200.  I had to alter where one of the
crossmembers set to make it all work out nicely.  I took a peek at the
one on Mark Korsten's '74 ('75?) 200 and those later hitches are even
nicer.

Side note: I was talking to one of the local junk guys who had quite few
IHs in his yard and asked if he would call me before he decided to crush
them.  All that is left is one pickup and one Travelall.  Evidently a
kid had come in and offered him $1000 for the 6 ScoutIIs he had.  When
they had them loaded, the kid told him that he was taking all the axles
to MO to sell to Jeepers. I've driven past the kid's place and there is
only evidence of one Scout there.  Too bad.  They were all junk and had
been under water multiple times but still sad.  I guess the revenge is
knowing that there are a bunch of Jeepers in MO with axles full of mud.
The scary part is that the kid's dad has been to my place and seen my
axles that are stored outside.  Better get them in I guess.    



 OTOH, if
you were ordering a 'tow package' 1000/1010, you got that bitchin' Reese
hitch with the square tube extension to the frame x-member under the
middle
of the cargo floor. No underneath spare really possible with that hitch,
but
how likely was a 1000/1010 to mount tires bigger than the interior spare
well?

Now if someone can explain the line set callout 'Eugene O'Neill', this
T-all
will have revealed it's final mystery.
