[ihc] Rag Headed Joints

Digesters,

   Could someone explain to me, (I know the answer already), why my original
IH rag joint lasted 30 years, but; my new replacements only get about 3
years? My last only got about 2 years and 3 out of 4 holes were torn. 

   Also, how come, no mater how much you try and clock the steering wheel
while you re-assemble the rag joint you will always put it back together
upside down?
