Typical AutoClone crap!

My next one will be from I-10 IH/Navistar in Phoenix. Ask for the rebuilt with a "B" in the part number, either at the
beginning or end of the part number (forget which now), it is $70 instead of $120 without the "B". They are open 'till
11pm weeknights I think.
Are the chain store starters just junk or what?
YES!!!!!!!!

NO!!!
I am on my 2nd or 3rd so called 'rebuilt" power steering box from AutoBoneHeads in about 3 years. It is the reason I
couldn't make the SDS trail ride this weekend. The box is "popping", I think the ball berarings are cracking and
crunching up. I have heard the sound a long time ago on another vehicle. Oh well, I guess I will try yet another free
one for a while until I rebuild my spare myself.
A nother peeve - Last week NAPA downtown Mesa turned my front disk brake rotors; one was within half a thousandth; the
other was worse (.005") than when I brought it in (.004)! I brought it back and showed them my dial indicator readings -
they didn't like that! They turned it a little closer to true, they got it to .003" lateral runout; they said I was
lucky to get that!!!
I found a place just down the street from them that will turn the rotor while it's on the vehicle - perfect trueness
hopefully.
No more Mesa NAPA machine shop for me!
