RE: [ihc] [FSJ-List] Upcoming Tech Session in near Portland, Oregon

Hey! Is anyone going to video this for us who can't make it to Oregon.

Looking at the diagram for the heater, it appears that the airflow comes
down the central pipe, feeds the fire and then exits the flue. What keeps
the airflow from reversing when lighting the heater? Once the flow is
established it shouldn't be an issue.

The fuel / combustion-air preheater is a great idea.

International Scouts and Trucks of Oregon is holding a class on how to
build a waste oil heater for your garage or home. While a date has not
yet been set, it will probably be in the next month or so. This is a one
day class, and will be held in Woodburn, Oregon. To learn more about
this, click on the link here:

There is a parts list of stuff to bring. Most critical, and perhaps the
hardest part to get, is a dead electric water heater. You will need to
bring one. If you cannot find one, let me know, and I may be able to
point you in the right direction. We will eventually announce the date,
so keep visiting the thread to find out.
