The Red Power Magazine has a discussion board where the discussion is
mostly on IH tractors, although occasionally trucks creep in.  The link
below is to a very interesting thread with lots of photos by a guy who
uses old IH crawlers to pull trains of sleds of supplies to lodges in
northern Manitoba during the winter months, occasionally dropping them
through the ice, retrieving them, and continuing on.  He also uses a
1930's Linn half-track truck/tractor which I find fascinating.  The other
links were included in the discussion and lead to some interesting
history of the area and photos of arctic off-roading.  

It looks like the first link will be split and you'll have to paste it
back together.

Makes Hof's Panamint runs sound like a Sunday afternoon cruise through
the park!
