What lubricant do you use on diff bearings? I'm at the point where I'm installing the new differential. Can anyone answer this bearing lube question?
Steve,

Pack those bearings with a non fibrous grease such as Mobil 1 synthetic grease. This will not interfere with the action of the 90 wt. that you are going to fill the case with. The grease should, in my opinion, be of the same type as the lube, that is both dino, or both synthetic.

As Jim said, the grease will help lubrication while things break in.
