Here's some info from the MT-118 parts manual (1965, 66, 67 trucks):

14, 15, 17, & 19 gallon tanks were available, with all four sizes used as
side mount tanks, and the last three sizes (although in a different
configuration) available for the rear mount. On my '67 TA, there's a 19
gallon main, and a 14 gallon auxiliary tank. I've never seen a truck with
the rear access panel, but I see a diagram of a TA with one in the book.

This doesn't address Ryan's original '72 related question, but it seems
unlikely that 100 gallon capacity would be a factory option. I bet that's an
aftermarket configuration. Notice I'm not betting money, though...
