The time I got to drive Dave Dibiase's diesel, it reminded me of the old
chevy I-6 motors. Not a ton of get up and go, but I thought it wasn't
horrible... Not something to pull a trailer or anything really though. If
you get on it a lot with the 304, you won't be happy with the diesel, but if
you baby the 304, you'll get similiar performance from the TD with a lot of
go pedal (but better fuel economy). All that said, I would love to have a
diesel... the diesel I drove was the TD. Remember, the TD's need to be
warmed up before being driven and should be cooled down too, you'll have to
consider that and whether you can modify your driving habits to suite, it
has to do with it being a turbocharged engine... btw, anyone know how many
"Hg the turbo is regulated for? And anyone know what altitude it can
maintain that pressure to?
