---I am still reading your original message, but if it makes any difference,
I was told by a pro-build transmission builder that neutral is actually a
first gear. If I had to take out the books and find out what he was saying
when he described it to me, I could probably tell you more. Maybe it is that
the neutral is a first gear with no clutches and steels, but if I were to
start guessing, it would basically only be lies.
---Try some Lucas Trans Conditioner, even though the ditchfinder is a POS,
it has helped the transmission enough that I no longer worry about a $700
junk yard transmission... at the moment. If there are any components that
are frozen, it wouldn't hurt, the only thing it doesn't repair is worn
steels/clutches. Might simply be that a valve is stuck part way open. Now,
