local hero returns safely from the wars...

howdy, folks!

i apologize for the tardiness of this post, but it was unfortunately
unavoidable.  i lost the contents of my hard drive to the malicious effects
of my own clumsiness and after a week of trying to reclaim my lost data, had
to go with a year-old backup (having lost my 2-month-old backup).

anyway, i am very happy to report that my Beloved Bride has returned safely
from the wars and is home once more.  she says it was a grueling and trying
experience, one she would rather not repeat, and she's overjoyed to be home.
i showed her the messages from the various Digesters and she was very
touched, and has asked me to thank you all on her behalf.  so...  thank you,
everyone, from both of us!  +)

on a final note, it appears the starter in the TravelAll died from causes
unknown this morning.  great.  one more thing to fix.  but we're going to
Disneyland on Monday, so screw it, it'll wait till we get home.  block leave
combined with combat bonuses and the military discount from Disney can be a
very good thing.
