Re: source for dipsticks[2] (Scout II, 304 w/headers)



Don, a regular dipstick's not that big. It'll fit in
5/16 or 3/8 line. And whichever size we used, it went
into the oilpan on our 79 345, which is the same size
as my 72 392 and my late 60s early 70s 345. Sealed it
with a little permatex red.  I've never seen a
dipstick tube bigger than that. Your's is almost an
inch? Interesting....
