Re: Clutch slave cylinder

Tom:

Correction.

A well trained girlfreind will work in tandem with you. She puts a little
pressure on the pedal and says, "go". You crack open the bleeder with a
line to a jar of fluid so that no air can get back in.

Just before the pedal gets to the floor, you have her call out, "Down!". At
which point you shut the bleeder valve quickly.

You don't want to wait until she hits bottom or lets the pedal up a little.
It might draw air back into the lines. Always start at the furtherest from
the M/C and work to the closest (passenger rear, driver rear, passenger
front, driver front in most cases). Also be sure to refill the M/C as
needed and have girlfreind "pump" the pedal between bleedings.

Tom H. - who ought to know because he has trained at least two girlfreinds
in this process. :-)
