Shot peening?

     Binders,

I'm of the opinion that the top surfaces of Master Cylinders are
deformed because after they're rebuilt, they are hand tossed
(sometimes worse) more than a few feet into a large tub withmany
others in it. Thus they bang around together until they get covers at
     the end of the line.

Block sand the top, or surface sand it before you put fluid in for
the first time, then rinse well with water, dry, and bench bleed with
plenty of new fluid and you should be fine.

Why is it that the rebuilts seems to last only a few years at a
time, before they go all the way to the floor or creep at the light?
