Re: The e-mail campain is on

John,

I don't think an e-mail campaign would be a good idea. First off, it's
not a very professional approach to the situation.

Obviously, Skyjacker has determined it's not be in their best interest
to have BCB as a dealer. It seems clear to me from their response that
they aren't sure whether you're really in the 4x4 business or are just
trying to buy a few items at wholesale cost for yourself and a few friends.
In her full reply quoted in your other message Betty gave you an
opportunity to prove your business status, why don't you try that? She
didn't completely shut the door on you, she just needs some convincing.

Skyjacker is right about being cautious of whom they grant jobber status.
My guess is the majority of their revenue stream is from a network of
relatively high volume dealers. Those type of dealers are important to
manufacturers. Granting dealer status to smaller operations like yourself,
with lower overhead, lower markups, lower blah, blah, etc tends to piss off
the large dealers. And by pissing off the big guys, Skyjacker is really
biting the hand that feeds them.

BTW, how would you handle it if someone calls wanting to become a dealer
for Back Country Binders bumpers and wants to order one at wholesale?

Good luck,

Doug

with Skyjacker. I checked out your website. However, this does not
pertain
to being a 4 Wheel drive business in any way that I could see.

We only set up Jobber customers on the basis that they sell 4 wheel drive
parts for resale on a regular basis. The name of the company does not
reflect the 4 wheel drive industry either.

If you can provide us with suffient invoices, letter head, business cards,
etc. that reflect a 4 wheel drive company, then we might reconsider.
However, at this time, we must decline your request for Jobber statis with
Skyjacker.

You can still purchase items from us with a Visa, Mastercard, Or Discover
charge cards. You can also send in a money order or cashier's check in U.S.
funds.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I have recieved no reply to my e-mail to Skyjacker and wish to send them
some overwelming evidence that Back Country Binders is a real 4x4 company.
Could you all take a minute to send an e-mail to This person, Betty, at
skyjacker and help me out as well as take a stand for the IH vendors and
little guys out there who want to supply you with parts and aftermarket
goodies. Plese also send me a copy of what you sent so that I may enjoy
your support and know who is supporting me in my cause. Thanks
