RE: Rear wheel bearings
The Dana 60 in my 68 Travelall is made just as you describe. Has the spacer
between the axles and the adjuster on the right side. It even has zerks at
the outer ends of the axle tube to grease the bearings.

It would seem that Tom's 44 rear axle is DIFFERENT than the type used in
the Scout 800's.
Never had seen this design in an IHC before.
