Rebuilding a single barrel carb is an ideal job to get your feet wet on these
things.  Go slow, follow the directions step by step, have plenty of flat
space.  You'll do fine.  I just bought a 2 barrel rebuild kit at NAPA for $26,
so yours should be less.
